Newest result format
I actually like the new result format with everything in one group. I don't need them broken down by city at all. The format is great!!
BUT since you switched to that format, you're missing way more results. I use your search several times a day, and I'm getting only about 1/4 of the results that I have always gotten before.
I don't know what you've done differently, but I'd rather wait like before on the Google API's limits, and get a more complete set of results than what I'm getting from your site right now. Sorry - but what you have right now is the worst so far.
In general I love your site, so thank you, but it's not working very well for me right now.

Glad you like the single list view! Unfortunately, these two things are linked. One of the reasons we used the separate cities view as the default is that Google just returns fewer results when you grab them all together like this. I'm not sure why; presumably some kind of optimization on their end. We have added results from Bing below the Google ones to help with this. (Click the Additional Results button to see them.) However, it's still definitely possible some will be missed.
Fortunately, we are working hard on a completely new option that I expect will be better even than the old stacked cities. Basically it will provide links directly to results pages on craigslist (no affiliation). Unlike our current Direct Results mode though, you won't need to click a separate link for every single city. They will be grouped into chunks of 1-3 states per link, so you can search the entire area around you with only a couple of clicks, and the entire country with only 20 or so. The best part is, because it doesn't rely on a search engine, the results are 100% up to date, with none missing. We're hoping to release the first version of it next week.

I don't like to be a "hater" - but I loved your old format! I do NOT like this one. I can do THIS (the way you have it now) myself in Craigslist. The BEAUTY of your old format was up in the left corner where you could hit "next" area. This is AWFUL! PLEASE give us a choice! Thanks!

Hat this new format . Please fix this . Not getting any of the posts that don't have pics now . There seems to be a fraction of what use to be here . Used Searchtempest everyday . No more . Frustrating .

How can you hate this format. It's great having everything on one page instead of having 10 pages of results broken up by each city. And the results are instant, instead of having to wait for each city to roll in.
My only issue is the loss of results. Once you have the newest version ready, I'd be very happy to beta test it for you.

BING results suck! I've never gotten one single extra real result when pressing the bing button. It usually gives me one or two items, but they aren't what I was searching for.

@Gary, what you're describing sounds like the Direct Results popup windows. You can still view the results that way if you like. Just click the "Or, open Direct Results in popup windows > " link, below the new results links on the Direct Results page.
That said, the advantage of the new Direct Results over using craigslist manually is that you can easily specify an arbitrary search area, and we work out the minimal set of searches to cover that area with craigslist's 'nearby areas' feature. In your particular case though, perhaps you're only searching a small area, so that isn't a benefit. In that case I can understand why you'd prefer the popup windows view!

We are aware that Google and Bing don't give as many results when viewed as a single list. While we can't change that, we HAVE created a brand new way to search - our new Direct Results mode. You can learn more through that link above, or give it a try by clicking the "Direct Results" toggle on the results page.
