Is there a way that we can limit the search to the whole entire United States instead of overseas?

  Yes, as long as you're using the default "Direct Results" view, it will be just the United States (plus Canada and Mexico if you choose to select them).  The "Single List" results option unfortunately isn't able to be restricted by location, so will show worldwide results.
